Well its Monday so let’s get started with some random points.
Our counter from sitemeter.com has mysteriously reappeared. You can find it right under our “Favorite Blogs” section. It disappeared about a month ago and reappeared on the weekend. I don’t even know how this happens, seeing that you have to put the HTML code in as well. Ah well it doesn’t matter. This counter is fantastic and I’m going to plug it here right now. If you have a blog, get this counter, it’s fantastic. You can check out any stats including referrals, in-clicks, out-licks, locations of visitors, operating systems they are using, browsers that they visited with, etc. It’s fantastic. Also, a couple days ago I noted that we are getting crazy hits now, and I had no idea what spawned this. Well, now I do. A while back I made a post titled “Top Ten Things to love about the new Transformers Movie” and I guess since the movie has been released and people have googled a lot of Transformers references we have been getting hundreds of hits from this one post alone. I checked the counter and a lot of the in-clicks are coming from this post. Check it out here. Also, anyone can click on our counter and see how crazy, awesome it really is. All the data is public, so check it out. ( I know data is plural but I can’t seem to use “are” instead of “is” It just doesn’t sound correct…”all the data are public”….no, sorry).
Josh and I are going to shoot the tall ships on Saturday morning. We’re doing it really early in the morning so I’m hoping Saturday will be a nice one. I’ll be pretty disappointed getting up at 5am to see a bunch of clouds with liquid falling out of them. But really this is going to be the only acceptable time to do any shooting (photo taking), with the onslaught of people that are going to be down there at every other time of the day until they are gone. I hope my lens is wide enough to get some good shots.
So anyone here a fan of Jericho? Well it was cancelled after the first season for some odd reason. I think that a fair share of good shows get cancelled and the sh*tty ones stick around a lot longer. I’m not saying this is the point for every show, but many times this is the case. But anyway, fans of the show took an off-the-wall approach to getting the show picked resurrected for a second season and they got what they wanted. From what I last heard, Jericho will have seven new confirmed episodes for a second season. If the ratings are good, there will be more so let’s get watching, it’s a good show.
One of my favorite new shows, The Black Donnelly’s was of course cancelled, but fans are hoping that HBO will want to pick up where the show left off. A small number of die-hard fans will ship 300 pounds of Zesta crackers (zesta crackers are featured on a bar sign in the show) to executives at HBO is hopes of persuading them to take on TBD. If this happened, not only would the show be back but think of how much better it could become with the no-boundaries HBO network at the helm. Come on Paul Haggis, it’s your show; pull some strings to make this happen. Send some Zesta crackers for us, you have the money.
